Omnibus Surveys

The McGregor Omnibus Surveys are carried out each month, using shared cost questionnaires on which a number of different topics are surveyed at one time. It is one of the more inexpensive methods of conducting market research when a budget solution to a market research problem is required. In an omnibus survey clients commission the firm to ask a smaller number of questions than in a stand-alone survey. Individual client questions are not disclosed to other clients. A range of state and national based Omnibus Surveys are offered to cover a variety of clients' needs.

For all Omnibus Surveys, the selection of people is based on a random probability design which ensures that every adult in the study area has an equal chance of being selected for interview.

Omnibus Surveys can be used to:

  • Track awareness and recall of public relations or advertising campaigns and messages

  • Test broad public reactions to product ideas and concepts

Results are delivered report format and cross tabulations with client data analysed by standard demographics viz:
